At Bright-Byte Foundation, we believe technology should be a right, not a privilege. That’s why our 501(c)(3) nonprofit is on a mission to empower low-income individuals and families across underserved U.S. communities with the tools and skills they need to thrive in a digital world. From AI workshops to coding bootcamps and our Tech Access Hub, we’re breaking down barriers and opening doors to economic opportunity—one laptop, one lesson, one life at a time.

A Spark Ignited by Need

The idea for Bright-Byte Foundation was born in the wake of COVID-19, when our founders—tech experts with over 40 years of combined experience in software development, hardware support, and AI—saw the stark challenges facing low-income communities. In places like New York and beyond, many people struggled to find jobs because they lacked access to technology or the skills to use it. For some, the question wasn’t “How do I learn AI?” but “Where do I even start?”

Our founders knew the answer: make technology accessible, approachable, and empowering. With expertise spanning iOS, Android, Mac, Microsoft, and Linux, they launched Bright-Byte to provide free or low-cost training in AI, coding, and software development, paired with hardware solutions like refurbished laptops and internet access. Today, we’re proud to be a public charity (IRS Section 509(a)(2)), ensuring every donation fuels our mission to bridge the digital divide.

Transforming Lives Through Technology

Imagine a single parent learning Python to land a tech job, or a young adult building their first app in one of our workshops. These aren’t just dreams—they’re the stories we’re creating at Bright-Byte. Our programs are designed for beginners, welcoming low-income individuals with no prior tech experience. Here’s how we’re making an impact:

  • AI Training: Hands-on workshops teach the basics of artificial intelligence, from chatbots to machine learning, preparing participants for the jobs of tomorrow.

  • Coding Bootcamps: Learn in-demand languages like JavaScript and Python, with certifications to boost employability.

  • Tech Access Hub: We provide refurbished laptops, hotspots, and tech support, removing the barriers that keep people offline.

  • Software Development: Project-based learning helps participants build real-world skills and portfolios.

Our goal? To train and enable 500 low-income individuals and families in AI by 2026, equipping them with the skills and confidence to secure meaningful careers. Every step we take brings us closer to a world where technology empowers everyone, regardless of income or background.

Why Accessibility Matters

Accessibility is at the core of our work. We know that low-income communities often face not just financial hurdles but also practical ones—like lacking a computer or reliable internet. That’s why our programs are free or low-cost, and our Tech Access Hub ensures participants have the tools they need to succeed. We’re also committed to making our website and resources inclusive, with clear language and user-friendly designs to welcome all.

But accessibility isn’t just about technology—it’s about hope. It’s about showing someone who feels left behind that they can learn, grow, and contribute to the digital future. That’s the heart of Bright-Byte’s mission: “Empowering low-income individuals with AI, coding, and hardware access to bridge the digital divide and foster economic opportunity.”

How You Can Be Part of the Change

We can’t do this alone. Every laptop donated, every workshop funded, every participant empowered is thanks to the support of people like you. As a 501(c)(3) public charity, your contributions are tax-deductible, and every dollar goes toward creating opportunities for those who need them most.

Ready to make a difference? Your support can provide a laptop for a student, fund an AI workshop, or help us reach our goal of empowering 500 lives by 2026. Join us today by donating to Bright-Byte Foundation. You’ll receive a tax-deductible receipt automatically, making it easy to support our mission and claim your deduction.

Want to do more? Corporations can partner with us to donate tech or sponsor programs, while volunteers can share their skills to mentor participants. Contact us at CMorey@brightbytefoundation.org to learn how you can get involved, or apply for our free programs if you’re a low-income individual ready to start your tech journey.

A Future Where Everyone Thrives

At Bright-Byte, we’re not just teaching tech—we’re building a movement. A movement where low-income communities aren’t left behind but are leading the way in AI, coding, and innovation. Together, we can make technology a tool for equity, opportunity, and hope.

Thank you for believing in our vision. Let’s bridge the digital divide, one life at a time.
