My Story
Cheryl Morey is the Executive Director and Founder of Bright-Byte Foundation, a nonprofit committed to closing the digital divide by providing access to refurbished computers, digital literacy training, and ongoing tech support to low-income families.
With over 15 years of experience as a software developer and a five-year tenure as a Customer Experience Training and Development Specialist at Apple, Cheryl brings a unique blend of technical expertise and human-centered design to her leadership. As a Curriculum Architect, she developed training programs for iOS and macOS Chat Support teams, focused on empathetic communication, effective issue resolution, and customer empowerment.
Cheryl’s passion for digital equity was born from witnessing firsthand how families without access to technology are often shut out of education, employment, and essential services. Under her leadership, Bright-Byte has already placed devices into the hands of families who now use them to apply for jobs, access online learning, and build brighter futures.
She believes that when you give people both the tools and the skills to connect, transformation follows. Cheryl is committed to expanding opportunity, one byte at a time.
