Get to Know Us
Bright-Byte Foundation was born from a deep commitment to address the stark disparities in low-income communities, where access to technology and training remains a barrier to economic mobility. In the wake of COVID-19, our founders saw firsthand how the lack of tech skills prevented many from securing stable jobs. Many individuals didn’t know where to start with technology—especially emerging fields like artificial intelligence (AI).
With over 40 years of combined experience in software development, technical support, custom computer building, and hardware support for iOS, Android, Mac, Microsoft, and Linux, our founders recognized the transformative power of AI to accelerate learning and skill-building. They founded Bright-Byte Foundation to make tech education and resources accessible, empowering underserved communities to thrive in a digital world. From our base in New York, we’re building a movement to ensure no one is left behind in the tech revolution.
We’re on a mission to train and enable 500 low-income individuals and families in AI by 2026, equipping them with the skills and tools to secure meaningful careers in technology. Our programs—ranging from AI workshops and coding bootcamps to hardware distribution through our Tech Access Hub—are designed to be inclusive and practical, meeting participants where they are. Whether it’s a single parent learning Python or a young adult building their first app, we’re here to make tech accessible and achievable.
